Laser services use a laser to mark material with different designs, symbols, and lettering for artistic or practical purposes. These services are also often referred to as laser marking, though this shouldn’t be confused with the practice of laser marking itself.

Take a look at the premier laser services that we can provide to you. These different design services primarily fall under three categories: engraving, marking, and etching. All three are specialized for specific surfaces, equipment, and for different designs. Our laser services use cutting technology that creates high-quality designs that you have to see to believe.

What Sort of Materials Does Sterling Edge Work on?

In theory, laser designs will work on any material you can think of. In practice, however, it really depends on the type of service you choose. The following is a short breakdown of each of the types of laser service:

  • Etching: The same as engraving, but also works on more fragile materials such as glass
  • Marking: Works on nearly every material, but is particularly good for thin materials such as cloth, paper, and leather

These services can reach up to 600 dots per inch (DPI) in quality, which is an extremely high quality for working with lasers with pinpoint accuracy.

How Big Can We Go?

In both commercial and industrial use, our particular laser marking can be applied to materials that can reach up to the following sizes:

  • Cutting: 60 by 120 inches
  • Etching: 70 by 120 inches
  • Marking: 70 by 120 inches

Those sizes leave a lot of room for you to work with. If you need laser services for smaller objects, we can work on those as well!
